The photos on this page have been taken during my visit to Vlieland with my cousin Tjarda. Vlieland is one of the Wadden islands. Tourists are not allowed to bring cars to the island. But it is so small that you can easily ride around it on a bicycle in a single day. Which is what we did.

| The dunes are pretty high. | Further on our trip, we are back on the part of the island that borders on the waddenzee, and take a rest at a point were we can look out over it. In the distance, you can see a two-masted sailing boat lying on the wad waiting for the tide to rise. |
